What I learned in the Second Quarter of English 10

What I Learned in English 9/10 Second Quarter.

This year In english 10 second quarter I learned alot of useable informaiton. For example when I barely started the second quarter we reveiwed what is supposed to be expected in the cirruclam. I learned the definitions of character,irony and ambiguity in the story's we read and the text that we review. The most interesting part of the second quarter in what I learned is that my class and I got to review what we learned and I can always go to my google docs, blogger and all my post that we keep our information in. I also learned how to use alot of tech stuff and what is required in our tech stuff that we use.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" - I'm the Detective.

If I was a detective investing the murder of Patrick Mahloney in "Lamb to the slaughter'' by Roald dahl. I would have first ask Mrs. Malohney if we can check the house and ask her to step outside while we check her house for any evidence or any fingerprints who killed her husband. I would have asked Mrs. Mahloney if there was anything particulary wrong with her house or if anything felt weird in the house that she never experienced. I would also have Mrs. Mahloney what time did she come back from the store and what she was wearing or what was her husband wearing. I would've have been a very specific investigator I would have kept asking Mrs. Mahloney questions and checked her house or any evidence.

"Lamb to the Slaughter" Mary's Giggling .

At the end of “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Ronald Dahl, Mary Maloney begins giggling because she did not tell the police that she killed her husband. Also the police men do not know that Mary is trying not to make it obvious that the steak she hit her husband with she cooked the steak. Also the police is being really sweet to her and is being nice to her because the police man does not expect Mary to commit man slaughter or murder. After the police leave the house, I predict Mary will continue on with her life and never confess to what she did to her husband and how she killed her husband.

Situational Irony in My Life.

A situational irony that happened in my life was when I was taken away from my grandma when I was six years old. I was just playing outside and I was playing with my little sister. As soon as I turn to go inside my sister and my mom was fighting and arguing at each other and I did not know if they were playing or not. Not until I seen them both go outside fist fighting and the police drove by the house and seen what was going on. It was not even 5 minutes before I see the police come take my sister away and then take us away in a cps car. I was so scared I sat all the way by my brother and I rocked him to sleep almost because he was so hurt that we left the most important people in our life. But that is my situational irony because I was expecting us to stay with our grandma for ever.

“First Persuasive Paragraph.”

Students should not be allowed to play any sports if they have low grades. A lot of students have different situations in getting their work done and focusing in school. Also students that play sports and have low grades think about sports and not their school work until the end of the season. So that when it is time to finish the season some students grades are still not to the extent that they are supposed to be at. If students do their work and p-lay sports at the same time they can do both because they have enough potential to muti-task on both sports and education.

The bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” and “Catch the Moon”

In the story” The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant” the main character is the narrator. The main conflict in this story is when the Narrator takes Sheila Grant out in a boat and she tells the narrator she hates fishing. Unfortunately he is happy to go fishing and decides to stop what he loves for her.They end up at a concert and she leaves for some guy named Eric Caswell. Later on in his life he remembers to not make that same mistake again. The story’s theme is don’t stop what you love for a person.

The main character in the story The Bass, the River, and Sheila Mant is the boy that likes to go fishing and catch bass in the river. The conflict in the story is that the boy falls in love with Sheila Mant and the boy loves to go fishing. Sheila Mant does not like fishing and so the boy throws his fish away that he caught. The resolution is that the boy learned from his mistake. The boy changes because after the fact Sheila Mant does not find him interesting because of his fishing he moves on and still does the same thing in life that he used to do. Whether or not there is something that you like or that you find impressing you don't have to change for that specific thing or that person just be yourself so you have confidence about yourself.

The main character for the story “Catch the moon” is Luis and he is a teenage boy. The main conflict in the story is that Luis’s mother dies of cancer and Luis has a big struggle with that even though it has been three years since his mom has passed away. He does not know a lot about how to love or even like a girl because basically the only girl in his life that ever loved him was his mom. The resolution in the story is that Luis still loves his mom but he does not think about her that much and doesn't get mad easily anymore because he does not really pay much attention to his mom not being alive. The main character changes because he thinks before he starts to get angry when people talk about his mom and he is a little more comfortable around girls . Just because a person is not with you in life it does not mean you have to stop doing things in your life because of someone not being included in it .

In both of the story’s “The bass, the river, Sheila mant” and “Catch the moon” both boys have figured out what love is about and what it means. Both of the boys know what it is to be loved and how to be loved and how to be close to somebody in their life. The main ideas were that the boys had a date or experienced what it feels like to try to find someone perfect for them and they also had something in their life that meant almost the world to them. Overall in life there is going to be a down fall in life, but who is to say that you can’t get over that down fall. You only have one life, make it like you want it and don't give up on your strengths.

Catch the Moon” Grief Paragraph

The change Luis experiences after he address the grief he feels for his mother’s death is believable. In real life people are going to feel grief for the one they love the most. For example when I got token away from my grandma all I can do for the nine years I was taken away from her is cry my self to sleep. I still remember everything that happened that day and the look on my grandma’s face when I got taken away from her. By dealing with grief, people are able to control their feelings or talk to someone really close to them. Also they don’t try to think a lot about it because it is not going to help the person by thinking about it it’s just going to make them have a lot more grief than before.

Homeroom Reform Essay

So many things can help better us as students to improve our learning and education.

There are 140 kids at San Pasqual Academy, a high school for foster youth.If we were to win the $5,000 dollars towards our education we believe that our students would be able to finish all homework and assignments. We believe that we all have the ability to improve in our education. For example we have an English 10 class that is technology based. We definitely need funding because we only have so many laptops that we can check out after school.

Each student has a blog. Thanks to our English teacher we have become a paperless class learning new technology. For example we get to learn about different websites, what they are based on and how they work, for example we use Voki, Blogger, Google Docs and our favorite one which is our Delicious accounts. This website lets us bookmark different sites and we can make tags. When Ms. Priester brings up new sites or different things that we are going to try out she normally makes a slide show/ PowerPoint that teaches or demonstrates the steps in order for us to learn how to use the websites. Ms. Priester has shown us different techniques in order to get us prepared for college starting from writing essays to making diagrams to the coolest of all designing our own forms or even test. Also, I am an English language learner and used a website called Rosetta Stone in order to improve my English pronunciations and how to write words correctly. If we were able to share this with our whole school and maybe to other students at other schools they would learn that technology and having laptops makes work more enjoyable then writing everything out on paper.

Having the laptops would make teaching better and having a better learning and positive environment as well as not having to worry about not having enough laptops for a whole class. This project will help the students on this campus by saving them many hours of studying and improving their grades. Another way the laptops will help the students is by knowing that when the computers don’t work in the cafe they have another source to use with wireless Internet. When students graduate and get ready for college they are expected to be well versed in the use of laptops. Throughout time as well as personal experience it has been shown that laptops are more effective in producing higher education and more efficient results.

Having laptops will not only improve the education throughout high school but also prepare us for college since college is normally all technology based. Many of our students enjoy technology and many have become even more technologically advanced on their own. Our students at San Pasqual Academy would be very grateful if we were to win this prize.

"SPA Movie & Games Day Paragraph.

When I arrived to school on Friday I was so happy and looking forward to the day and for Saturday. On, Friday I expected to go to or first period class and watch the movie “Aging out of the system”. Instead we watched Freedom Writers with the sophomores mixed with the freshman. The movie was really heartbreaking and emotional. I liked a lot of parts in the movie because it made me think about SPA. Last Friday the students of SPA had a lot of fun and really enjoyed not having to do much homework and work in the classroom. The next time a fun day is planned at school at SPA I think the activities can be a watermelon food contest and a pineapple food contest and we should play tug of war. Fun days are beneficial to students of San Pasqual Academy because you don’t have to worry about people getting in to fights or sitting in a classroom doing work while you can be outside and having fun.

Live like were dying by Kris Allen represents San Pasqual Academy because the campus can be frustrating for people and we have to see the same people evrey day. Also evreybody does not have good days or are always happy for their own reasons. The song also does not just relate to the campus it relates to me because when I listen to the song I realize how many struggles I go through evreyday of my life and it is not easy. I would recommend this song to the campus just to listen to for a little while so that it can give a meaning to students and show all of us that we are not the only people in the world that is going through what we are going through evrey single day.

“The bass, the river, and Sheila Mant and Brad Paisley’s song” Im gonna miss her is compared because in the story the boy is trying to get the girls attention by stop fishing. The story and the lyrics are compared also because the story has a theme, which is to never let anything get in your way when doing something in life. The lyrics of the theme is if you love something that your heart tells you to do don’t hesitate or wait. The story and the lyrics also have love and romance in both because in the story the boy really cared for Sheila but did not know how to show it and the lyrics talks about romance and love and how it affects people and what love means.

Internal and External Conflicts in “The bass, The River, and Sheila Mant.”

In the story “The bass, The river faces both external and internal conflicts. The external conflict in the story is that there is a boy who likes this girl name Sheila Mant and she would always sit on the float and sit their tan. The boy would try to get Shela’s attention to talk to her but he did not know how to get her attention that well. By the boy not getting attention from Shela he learned that he’s going to have to wait a while until her attention is toward him. The internal conflict is that the boy had asked Sheila would she like to go to a band with him and she was like we should take my father’s car. The boy had said we can use a boat that his father had made and she was like okay. They got to the band and she was enjoying herself.

One Halloween night Kiki was dressed up as a lady bug. Kiki was confused about how she looked in the costume. As Kiki was walking wondering how she looked in her costume it was already hard enough for her to go outside. Kiki always thought about how she looked every time in a costume every year and is people would think she is beautiful in her costume.

The comparison in the book is that both ladies died and they both had good relationships. In the Typhoid fever Frankie had got introduced to the High-way man by Patricia which was the girl in the hospital with Frankie. In the highway man the landlords daughter was trying to worn the high-way man that the ostler was coming to get him. Basically the two ladies died in the story and the guys loved the ladies a lot and tried to show it before the Ladies had passed away. The comparison between the story’s is that they both had a poem and a meaning in the story.

“’Typhoid Fever’– Present Tense Childhood Memory.”

I am five years old sitting on the slide singing a song. I see my oldest and my youngest brother climbing up a pole. I of course tried to climb on the pole and be little monkeys. I was struggling getting up the pole and there was a blue tent on top of the pole. My brothers had helped me up on the pole. I started to get really excited. My oldest to youngest brother walked into a hole almost that was in the blue tent. I told my brother watch out and he stepped back, while they were not looking I was running around the hole in the tent and all of a sudden I fell right through the hole and fell really hard. I was conscious for a long time and ended up on my grandma’s couch. I was so shocked and paranoid I started to cry and freak out. After the concussion I had I was sleep for the rest of the day and I did not talk for at least 3 days.

Marilyn just got hired at a spaceship job and she likes the job. There is just only one thing missing and it is her brother that she has not seen in years. Marilyn decides to sneak upon a spaceship and try to see and speak to her brother. But nobody understands that since Marilyn has not seen her brother in a while she wants to get a hold of him. The people tells Marilyn that her brother is on another spaceship so she has to wait to speak to her brother. Once the ship that Marilyn's brother is on she gets to talk to him and catch up on some things.

Wow! Can these children ever be quiet why would you ask alot of questions. I can't even sit on a quiet train with my own kids that is ashamed. Maybe if I tell them a story they would be quiet and want to be able to hear my story. Yes, I am going to tell them a story that they might not want to hear but it probally would shut them up. I will go ahead and tell the story here we go. As I tell my story my kids are getting board and complaining. I will not tell them but someone has to tell them the story.

The story that I have chosen to write about is No David no by David Shannon.The story is about this boy named David who's mom live with him. David is only to but does not get away with alot of thing because his mother catches him. David knocks down a fish bowl and starts to laugh about it and not cares until he gets in trouble by his mom. After he had knocked down the fish bowl his mom told him to go to the room and sit down for a time out. When David was finish taking his time out it was time for his bath. His mom was getting him ready to take a bath and he ran out of the bathtub without no towel and ran down the street naked and so his mom was really mad at him and that was the end of the summary. The story caught my interest because when I was little I always would blame my brother for my mistakes and so I would see my brother get all sad and upset when it came time for the corner and so I just had memories back then when that happened.

I had went up to the café so the chef can cook breakfast. I had stood in line with my friends and started to laugh really loud. I had got called in front of the line to talk to the chef for laughing loud. I asked myself why I was talking to the chef about what I was doing. Soon enough I had stormed to the table and threw my food away and waited until my friend’s came. I had got in trouble for throwing my food away and was told to go see the superviser to get my consequences and so I had to serve 2 hours in community service.

3. Write one brief paragraph using third-person-limited narration

Kiki no way , how can you get 2 hours of communtity service I don’t believe this what were you thinking. The cook had said maybe you should learn your lesson and think before you speak. Your friends told me that you are really sorry so I think I will give you a break instead of making your life miserable.

4. Write one brief paragraph using omniscient narration.

Kiki was going to start crying in front of evreybody but she kept it in. Luckily her friends and stuff had to wait to eat because even though she threw her food away the other kids were standing in the line hungry and thirsty. After the kids had waited Kiki got out of line after the fact she had evreybody wait for food

“Chilean Miners Rescue."

I feel that the chilean Miners rescue was devastating. I used the word devastating even though they got rescued because it still hurts to even see thirty-three people get rescued after sixty- nine days underground bassically. There were a few things that happened like the the miners were helping and working and happen to be that some of the workers fell in the hole that they were digging or loking in. I feel that if there were alot of workers to began with and comes to find out only half of the workers fall underground then that is quite strange.

“Autobiographical Narrative Reflection.”

In my paragraph I used a lot of details and description. I also described the characters but I have could have done better. I also used first person instead of second person. I had a lot of feeling towards my essay. I need to describe the characters not only their appearance but their actions and traits. I could use more internal monologue in characters and state more description in every thing. I also can use dialogue and state what is happening in more detail. Ms. Priester can help me more in stating facts and using dialogue. I have noticed that I will use dialogue at one point and state another thing instead of staying on the topic.

"Two Kinds" Mother & Daughter Conflict

In the conflict between Jing- Mei and her mother, I support Jing- Mei more than I support her mom. For example she is just an little girl and she does not know what is wrong from right yet. Her mid only tells her what she knows. This shows that it may not be acceptable for her to yell and scream at her mom and she should know not to be rude. At one point you never know what Jing- Mei what was taught in her life. This also shows that when Jing- Mei gets older then she will learn what is acceptable and what is not acceptable in life. “Two Kinds” In the Shoes of a Prodigy"

If I were in Jing-mei shoes then I would feel very uncomfortable is someone would pressure me about prodigy. In the story for example Jing- mei would look in magazines and look at different types of styles because she thought they were different from her style. The different prodigy that people would push me t be is a artist because I have a lot of potential and I love to use creative things. A lot of people have their own prodigy. If people push them or make their prodigy for them then they are not succeeding to what they want to do in life. The final outcome of the pressure in the story is going to be that Jing- mei is going to make her own choices and not have her mom make the choices for her. Not everything that her mom suggest does not mean Jing- mei is going to do all the things in life that her mom wants her to be.

One day I was in the third grade and I was playing with my best friend DJ. There is this girl named precious and she was in the fifth grade. We all had the same lunch and the recess instead of different lunches even though precious was in a different grade then us. I had told DJ that Ii was going to the bathroom because I left my backpack in the restroom and so I went to the restroom. As I was walking out I seen Precious and she looked mad but I really did not know her that well and so I had asked her if she was alright. Her reply was that she was alright and so I said okay and I will see you a little later. A few minutes past by and Precious came and pushed me to the ground and told me I have to run laps for no specific reason. Then DJ came and told Precious to stop pushing me and then Precious got mad because I did not do any push ups.

I compare myself to Maggie because I am sweet and I care so much about things in my life. I may act selfish sometimes and have a bad attitude but that's does not stop me from being myself. Maggie and I are similar because if I had a mom to spend time with then I would take a lot of time out of my day to just talk with my mom. Maggie also has a nice personality towards other people even if it’s people in the family being really rude to her or just in reality. I have a nice personality especially when it come to family, friends and education those are my most golden things important to me. Maggie and I have a lot in common so I hope one day I can meet her in real life just for an hour to notice her personality in life.

Dee does not like peole that is nice she only wants people to pay more attention to her. Maggie which is her sister is sweet and likes to spend time with her mom and friends. Dee is anot a anti- social person but is aperson who likes to always prove a point. I truly belive Dee does not know her actions toward her sister Maggie and her mom. When Dee’s mom and her sister moved from the house that burned Dee had sat and watched the fire instead of helping. It took Dee to realize that is okay to care about things in your life even if it’s a house that burned down.

When the going get’s tough people tend to get this other side of them which is normal. The reason why people act different when times get hard is because they don’t know how they will act when it’s a tough time. Most people do not have an effect on it but when it gets to the limit where it has got out of control then it’s a problem. In society when the going gets tough it can be either good or bad. All things in life can be easier or hard but most of the time it will be mixed because everybody has different problems in life.

One day Tashanna and I were walking in the orange groves with the zany squirrels. Then I watched Tashanna get abducted by a squirrel. I decided to name a squirrel Bob. Bob was a very cute squirrel he had a red tail and big blue eyes. He smelled like pear blossoms. All day i watched Bob hoard nuts in his big Jurassic park tree. After he was done putting nuts in his tree, a triceratops stepped on Bob and killed him. But I did not know Bob had a twin, named Billie. He was a chunky fat squirrel who always ate up Bob nuts. Every time Billie had a stomach ache he would make a horrible annoying ballyhoo. Billie filed a grievance against the triceratops named Hank. All of Billie's squirrel friends sentenced Hank to be stung by a bee in his ear. After Hank was dead the bee never died so unfortunately all of Billie and his squirrel friends jumped out of the tree and flapped their tails as fast as they could but figured out that they just went down. So long Billie, Bob, Hank and all the squirrels in the United States.

“Mouse in the Cafe Short Story."

The mouse was in the cafe. I was in the cafe early in the morning with Amy, Becky, Chelsea and Heather for breakfast before school one day. All of a sudden I hear something squeaking under the table and Heather had said it was just my imagination. After Heather told me it was my imagination the mouse went under Johnny’s table. I had asked my roommate Amy if she could get the mouse under the table and she said okay. So then Becky and Chelsea went by the table to help Amy get the mouse. Good thing that we all got the mouse and let it outside before we went to school. So after all everybody was safe in the cafe instead of the mouse scaring everybody away.

"The Pedestrian" Center for Regressive Tendencies Paragraph

The center for Regressive Tendencies building is five story's high and has sixty rooms in all for people who are mentally ill. The building has on call staff like SPA but instead the staff that come in the morning stay all the way until the next day. The only difference in the building is the clients have roommates instead rooming by their selves. The rules apply to how the clients act. For example if the clients be disrespectful then the staff will be rude to them. If the clients be respectful then you will get respected back. The building has a fun room with pool, PlayStation three and game boy.

"Purpose of the Pedestrian Paragraph"

The purpose of Bradbury's writing the Pedestrian was to explain to people that the world does not revolve around just that person. Now and days in society people do not just sit on their porch or listen to oldies. Back when they barely even put the screen on a computer the people around old times either sat down or sat and watch sad movies. In the story Bradbury's purpose was to not only let people know the world does not revolve around them but he was also saying don't focus on other people before you focus on yourself. Don’t pay your mind on people that are not really into the situation.

My life in 2053 is going to be very luxurious. I am going to be in 5 bedroom with three escalades and hummer's. The first connection between the poem and the story Dead man’s pocket is that the story’s both have possession in the story. For example in Dead man’s pocket his possession was his yellow paper instead of spending time with his wife. The possession in the poem was social life and parties. The story and the poem connects to my life in a certain way because my most possession is my little sister’s picture on my wall because I have not seen her in 9 years. When I wake up in the morning I look at the picture and it gives me motivation everyday.

My most valuable item in my life is my little sister's karate picture. When I look at my wall I always see her picture every morning and night. Sometimes when I wake up I get emotional when I see the picture because I have not seen my little sister in eight to nine years. I notice that when I'm in a happy mood I see my youngest sister picture. I even realize that even though I do not see my sister physically I can still call her every day to see how she is doing. My little sister picture motivates me when I wake up and go to sleep every night to give me good luck in whatever I succeed in.

Tom Benecke decision was wrong in the first place. His wife just asked him if he wanted to got to the movies and he chooses to do his work. The result of his choice was his yellow piece of paper flew out the window and he would carry it every where he went and so his paper is lost. The decision I would have made if my husband asked me if I want to go to the movies with him even I had work to do my remark would be yes. Paper work could get finished after you come back from the movies or on your free time. The plot would change by my decision because there would be no cause and effect or any complications.

"Friends or Studying Paragraph"

If I was studying for my science test and my friend wanted to hang out I would tell them I cant because I want to pass the test. I would rather study for my test and get a good grade instead of hanging with friends while I'm studying. Your friends might get upset with you or ignore you the next day but that is okay because your friends think that school is not that important but reality is when you get your education you get far in life. Also education not only gets you places in life but it helps you learn interesting cool facts about life that you never heard of.

" Paralyzed By Fear"

The one time I remember I was paralyzed by fear was when I was four years old. I was living in a two story house with my grandma, uncle and my seven siblings. My oldest brother was watching Chuckie the bride and I had asked him if I can watch the movie with him. Then he said yeah and so I sat down on the couch and started watching the movie. Everybody was asleep already and it was one in the morning and I was the only one in the living room. The t.v cut off by itself and turned back on and so I started to get scared and so I thought it was the electricity going out but it wasn't. I decided to get ready to go to bed but then I thought I was seeing things but Chuckie popped out of the t.v. So I ran to the room and started to go to sleep but then had nightmares and so I never watch scary movies anymore.

This weekend I sat home and watched Keeping up with the Kardashians. In the episode Kim Kardashian and her siters Klohe And Kourtney Kardashian went on a vacation to the Bahamas at a nice hotel. Klohe is pregnant and was very emotional and so she had got mad because Kim and Kourtney slept in and Khloe wanted to spend time with them before they go back home. After Khloe came back from eating breakfast by herself Kim and Kourtney woke up and had said the reason why they did not go to breakfast with Klohe is because they were really tired. That is what happen in the episode and it was really interesting.

My memorable birthday party was when I turned eight years old. I was living with my old foster mother and her name was Tamera. I was going to have my birthday party at the skating ring in Linda Vista but I decided to have my party at Tamara’s mom’s house. The day the party was I woke up in a great mood until I was missing something. My mom said get ready because were going to the store but then she said put your bathing suit on. I told her I don’t know where my bathing suit is and so she said look really well and so I did and I found it lying by my bed. After I Found my bathing suit instead of going to the store we went to my Tamara’s mom’s house and all my family was there and we started the party and we had a lot of food and games. My most embarrassing moment of my life is when I was four turning five. I was getting ready for kindergarten and my school had a summer camp in the school. My brother went to the summer camp with me because my grandma wanted my brother to stay with me in summer camp so nothing would happen to me so my brother came with me. One day at summer camp it was really hot and boiling and so there was a swing but my friend was sitting on the swing and so I had to use the bathroom. The staff thought I was lying and so they told me to wait fifteen more minutes. After my friend got off the swing I sat on the swing and everybody started backing away from me. I started to cry because I pooped in my pants because the staff told me to wait twenty minutes and I could not wait twenty minutes. I rushed to the bathroom and I could not hold it and so I pooped on myself some more. My uncle and my brother came and got me and took me home so I can change clothes and I got made fun of after I went back to summer camp because my friends said I was not potty trained right.

My first day of school was very interesting entering the life of the sophomores. I was tired and surprised about the classes I have this year. I thought my classes will be boring but instead my classes are fun, energetic and very professional. Some of my classes are really interesting to me and helpful because I get to experience what sophomore classes are like and what they expect in order to graduate. I also was so excited when I got home because I had no idea my classes would be so fun and easy to pay attention in. My teachers all seen me and heard a little about me and what are my favorite subjects to learn in school. On orientation the teachers were happy to see us and the other teachers.

The way you can use APA format in your research paper is by gathering all your information and put the paragraghs in body format. Such as introduction, topic sentence,main idea, conclusion. When your citing a source you are writing the source where you got your information from like a encyclopedia . The writer needs to cite a source when you need to find some more information on your topic of your essay. When the writer finds a quote that is a versus summarized text then the writer needs to put parenthesis, and the barricade around the quote. A reference page is where you found all of your URLs that connect to the essay. I will use the APA format in my essay so that I can learn the steps in order to get a good grade on the essay and I also would use the APA format because the steps are really helpful.

Yesterday was a nice day. I thought I was going to be off two hour but I was wrong I am still on two hour because I have two D's in my core classes. This Friday the school and the NA side had a barbecue for everyone. The barbecue was alright the activities were very exciting and humorous. When I went to the first activity I was not feeling that well because my stomach was hurting and I was sad also because my family and personal things. I also did not understand the order of the activities because a lot of people did not sign up for the games and so the people that signed up did not get to play the activities because the people that did not sign up went to go first.

When you are in a class teaching people technology they can go to the blog and make a post about the steps that you have to do in order to have a blog or whatever the person is teaching. I am writing to inform you about the change I’d like to see be made in the dress code. Students should wear whatever they would like as long as they are getting an education. My reasoning for changing the dress code at our school is because we need all the boundaries we can get and the teachers are really strict about the clothes we wear. Since you are the principal I am writing my opinion on the dress code to you because it’s not fair.

I would like to see this change occur because when staff and facility tell students how to dress, it makes students feel uncomfortable in their clothing. I also want to know why it matters what we wear because it does not make any sense if students keep getting sent to the office for a loaner, they are still going to dress like they want to. Teachers and staff do not understand that the dress code may be strict, but if the students wear uniforms, they will still dress how they want.

Thank you in advance for making the dress code change for the rest of the school year. I really think by your decision making on the dress code the school and the students will change their behavior or the actions they make. Also you will not regret making your decision on the dress code because by the students wearing their choice of clothing it will show how mature and independent they look in their outfits.

I understand that you love to go on myspace to talk to your friends and family almost everyday and have fun with the people that you talk to. I just want to explain to you that while your online on myspace or facebook and talking to people you been talking to for a long time the person or the people may be faking there age, name, or gender. For example if I'm online and someone adds me as a friend or if I add them as a friend and I tell them I'm this age or my name is this then they will believe all the information I'm telling them. It comes to find out it can be my uncle, dad or somebody that is talking to that person I added and who knows what or would've happened to me.
I also want to explain to you how dangerous the world is these days. One day there is this teenager and she was about fourteen or fifteen and I think she was board and so she went on myspace and was talking to this grown man. As she was talking to this grown man did not realize what she was getting herself in. Meaning while she was online she was giving her real information out and the girl thought the man she was talking to was a teenage but he wasn't. So he started to ask the girl were she was and whats her phone number so she gave him the information he wanted. The man started sending the girl dirty messages and pictures of himself and he ended up going to jail but was still stalking the girl every where she went.

Always remember when your online or anywhere always have an weapon on you or if that doesn't work have something on you because you never know people these days are very dangerous and they love to stalk people especially teenagers because they are now very developed and a easy target. So just always beware of your surroundings whether its a family member or a close friend because they can full you easily.

Today was career day and I learned so many things. I learned about Palomar college, Grossmont College and the U.S. Army. I was so glad that I went today because I would like to go to Palomar College. That is my first choice of all colleges. I am really interested in going and what they have for offers. When I saw the men from the army, it made me want to join. Also because my sister is in the navy, and I want to be just like her. I didn't really get a chance to talk to the people from Grossmont College. Overall I had fun winning prizes and learning new things.

Earthquake

I experienced an 7.2 earthquake on Easter Sunday and it was very terrified. I was just sitting on the couch with my housemates watching Hanna Montana's last show on Disney channel. So all of a sudden Amy looked at me and i looked at her and we were quiet for a good second until we ran outside the house. Everybody was screaming and acting like hooligans and predicting whats going to happen which is not going to come true. I really never felt an earthquake it was my first time at one point is was strange but cool because the floor was moving.

Yesterday I was painting and decorating my sandbox Easter basket. I was in a very bad mood because I am very tired of people disrespecting people in my house and disrespecting me. My favorite cartoon charactrer is Tinker Bell from the Disney Fairies. I like her because she is always willing to trying new things, and she does not care what anyone or anybody says. I think Tinker Bell should come to SPA and take me home to her fairie family.
