Dream House Paragraph with Imagery

My dream house is a mansion in LA. When you enter in my mansion you will see a gate that opens automatically without a clicker. You also will see 3 escalades and one expedition in front of my garage with automatically windows that open and fans so the garage can be cool instead of hot breeze. You can taste strawberry’s, apples. Grapes, sour candy and Capri suns. The items in the house feel like a big flower chasing you to hang out without and be nice to you. You will hear music coming from all parts of the house and there will be lights everywhere and silly spray. In order for me to achieve my dream I will have to go to school, graduate and get all of my degrees.

Third Quarter Goals Reflection

My goals for this third quarter is to get a 3.0 and manage to stay off two hour so I wont have to go to summer school my whole summer vacation. In order to reach my goal I go to school evreyday pay attention and ask for help when I am struggling with the work were doing in class. I also have my friends, peers and adults help me with my work that is difficult for me. I am doing my classwork and going to school and following directions when I am asked to do something in class by the teachers or the administrators. I need to start doing all my homework evreyday instead of most of my homework and I need to organize my time more wisely instead of finding time that best fits the campus time. At the end of the quarter I expect to feel that I can push myself more and that I can maintain a 3.0 GPA or even higher instead of a GPA under 2.0.

Poetry Experience Paragraph

I feel by studying poetry that the subject will be more interesting and one of the easiest subjects to learn about. Also poetry will teach us about backgrounds of history and lives back then in the 1900’s. I know that poetry does not have to rhyme with a word that is close to the definition or subject it can be described in how you feel and what you are thinking about. When I studied poetry in the past most of my English teachers would have me write words that rhyme and that go together most of the time. Sometimes on my free time I do write a couple of poetry entries on how I feel or what my days are like. I usually talk out loud when I do poetry so I can think about what I write before I put it on paper. During this poetry unit I look forward to learning many different ways to write poetry instead of rhyming all the words when describing how you feel or what you are thinking at the time.

Symbolism and Allegory Unit Reflection

Ive learned a lot this passed two weeks and I had fun while learning about symbolism and allegory. I also learned that when using symbolism you can use an example like an lamp and explain what the lamp is and what it represents. Ive learned what symbolism is many ways and ideas. One of the ways I learned about symbolism is through one of my assignments in class where we read a book called Animal farm and the book explained symbolism and what it is used for. When we read the book symbolism was explained by using an symbolic way. Ive learned allegory when we compared the book Animal farm to the real world. The assignment was interesting and a lot easier to learn about because the real world has many things to describe in a literal way. My favorite symbolism and allegory assignment is the characterAnimal symolism paragraph because I got to describe the characters and what they symbolize in the book. The assignment was also my favorite because the book had a lot of examles from the real world. By studying allegory and symbolism it changed my thinking because I know that a walking stick or even a cow can symbolize as a happy person or a lazy thing in life.

“Animal Farm” Character’s Symbolic Meaning Paragraph

In the story “Animal Farm” by George Orwell, the character Mr. Pilinkgton represents a hard worker and a dedicator. For example, This shows that Mr. Pilinkgton is committed to evreything he does and he likes to finish what he starts whether he is with a group of people or not. Also an example is in the book when all the animals was together and Napoleon was trying to take over and would be rude and boss evreybody around. In addition, This shows that if Mr. Pilinkgton was to be the leader of the animals evreybody would be treated equally and nice. People who are a hardworker and a dedicator usually tend to have good things come to them because like they always say good things come to good people.

Animal Farm to the Real World

In the story Animal Farm by George Orwell, Napoleon has allegorical meaning. For example Napoleon in the story acted like he was the boss of evreybody and evreything on the farm. This represents life and responsibility of others in a way. Also the animals on the farm were trying to not be bossed around and work as a team instead of one. Additionaly, this represents family and a team. For example this is related to real life because in the real world if you have friends that you known for a long time or if someone was trying to shut down your buisness for good and a lot of people liked your buisness then people would stick as one and save what they really care about.

“Animal Farm” Revolution at SPA

If the students had a chance to have a revolution to take over SPA then SPA would be funner, adventurous and students will probally be so excited that staff dont have to follow evrey student around evreywhere they go. The staff would not have to worry about coming to work on holidays and weekends while they can be home spending time with their family. SPA would be the coolest calmest place ever because students womt have to deal with staff and having check-ins evrey single hour at least until they leave SPA. It will give students time to be there selves inside and out instead of people saying things about us when they dont even know anything about us. It takes a while to know about a person instead of going by what the paper and file say about us. Also the students will still be able to go to school and still get there education if the adults don’t run SPA or tell us what to do day by day. Last but not least the managers and bosses that are in charge of SPA wont have to do all the paperwork they can let the students do their own paperwork by theirselves during the day.

San Pasqual Academy Dragons Symbolism

The mascot of San Pasqual Academy is a dragon which has blue, gray, and white as the colors on the dragon. The dragon represents a fierce competitor. One reason I find a fierce competitor that represents San Pasqual Academy is because as I'm on the campus I see struggles, arguments and emotions on the outside of everybody but not the inside. Also everybody goes through a rough time here and it is not easy coping with your issues most of the time. The second reason is because the campus all over has difficult times with family, friends and school but we stay strong and keep our heads up and not give up. The last reason is because as my own person I worry about myself and what I need to do to graduate and other things to. Now that I have been a SPA dragon for a long time it feels great because I know my limitations and how far I can go in life with things.

“Through the Tunnel” Foster Youth Initiation

Even though they don’t have to swim through a tunnel like Jerry in “Through the Tunnel” by Doris Lessing, foster youth are initiated into/out of the foster care system. It is a struggle and a problem for many youths and children just by seeing social workers and being in a type of facility. As foster youth or children enter the system they tend to feel lonely and scared of trusting many people in their life. Many things happen that nobody should go through, a lot of trust issues come in with the issue. The other two things that happen as children and young youth even teenagers in the system is a lot of times it will take about at least a couple months or at least a year to get used to the system or even longer because we as youth or anybody should not have to have the system or the government take care of us or boss us around. The three things that happen after teenagers or youth age out of the system is one, they go to find a job and have no where to go. Second they start partying a lot and dropping out of school. Last but not least they have kids and ask for help from resources that are good. As a result of initiation, I only wish that there was a way to gather a fundraiser so there can be a home or a huge facility for kids, youth, adults to have a home to feel safe and protected.

“Through the Tunnel” Analysis Paragraph

I do find it somewhat convincing that Jerry takes a risk and survives from what he did. There are so many dangerous things that Jerry did, but he took caution before he jumped in the water. It is not like he decided oh since there are boys that are jumping from rocks then I'm going to jump from rocks. He first went to see the water and how it was and the rocks, and then he took steps everyday to learn how to hold is breath in the water for a long time. I just find it a little convincing because little kids and people are curious and they are going to want to wonder and find out what things are and what they are used for.

“Through the Tunnel” Prove Yourself Paragraph

I had a time in my life where I felt I had to prove myself by achieving something challenging or difficult. That was when I was in the ninth grade and it was already fourth quarter and in order for me to go to the next grade and not fail I needed to get good grades and a high GPA. My goal was to get a 3.0 or higher before I went to the next grade. I had to work really hard, be on time for school, study for quizzes and tests. Also I needed to have faith in myself and not just in others. As soon as the report cards came out I ran home and waited for 2 seconds to open my report card. When I opened my report card I looked at my GPA and I had a 3.0 exactly I was just so stoked, and proud of myself that I reached my goal. After looking at my report card I felt good knowing that I reached my goal myself and I can do whatever my mind and soul tell me to do. Know looking at my GPA I can do better and get a higher 3.0 GPA than before. I have confidence in myself knowing that nothing at all can stop me from reaching my goal.

House symbol paragraph

Family represents Girls one in my opinon because we are a family and we stick together. Even though my house may argue or get mad at eachother we still work together have eachother back and we stick together as one. Family also represents my house because evreybody's different and they have their own experiences. So by my house coming together and sticking together we know how evreybody works and what they are like not only in the inside but the outside which is a great experience. To most people a family represents a person that you known for a long time. But to me a family is not just a person that you known for a long time it's a whole as one that struggles together and sticks together and will not let eachother down.

Third Quarter goals

My greatest accomplishment of 2010 was getting a good grade on my reform essay that I did in English this year with my partner. The way I achieved getting a good grade on my reform essay is by paying attention in class about the directions and the expectations. My partner also helped me reach the point where I needed to be to get a great grade. I also took time out of my day to have staff read over the essays and help me fix any mistakes that I had in the essay. I had faith in myself that I would be able to get it in on time and I did and I felt great about it.

My goal for this quarter is to keep a 3.0 and A’s and B’s and at least one C. I would reach my goal by going to school and to all my classes and learn everything that I need to learn this year. I will also ask an adult or a peer to help me out on anything that I need help on. Last but not least I will have faith in myself to reach my goal.

Winter break Narrative

My most memorable day for winter break was in Texas on New Year's eve. My sister and I spent time together for the first time of the two weeks I was there for my winter break. We first stayed at home and cooked and danced and listened to music. While we are at home listening to music the ma noodle that my sister had on the stove cooking was boiling up to the top. So I told my sister and she said that the bubbles were floating to the top and the ma noodle is not cooked thoroughly. She came back in the living room and continued to dance and have a good time. I thought to myself this is the first time my sister ever payed attention or thought I was there.

It was almost time to get the ma noodle and pour it in a bowl to take to my grandmas house and spend a little time with them before I left to go back home. When we got the ma noodle and poured it in a bowl it was time to go to my grandmas house and so my sister and I was getting ready to get into the car and leave, until I forgot something and so I went in the house to go get my phone charger. I came outside and got in the car and we were on our way to my grandma's house. As soon as we got to my grandma's house I was carrying the bowl and I almost dropped the bowl because I had alot of other things in my hand and I had to open the door by myself.

After my experience with my sister having fun and spending time with my family was the most memorable thing that I have done while I was on my winter break. I have notice that even though I had fun two days out of the fifteen days I was there with family from the start of the New years.
