Fourth Quarter Reflection Paragraph

When we had the fourth quarter kick off I was not intrested in doing any of the activities. The activities were good for you but it's just that im not a sports person that much. I felt that by me not participating I could've joined but instead I decided to read a book and sit around and eat sunflower seeds. When it got around lunch I was ready to eat even though I did not do anything I was just was really sleepy and hungry. After lunch there were at least three more sport groups and those groups looked really interesting. The next time we have another sport activitie thing I think there shoukd be a choice in doing arts or something else.

Fourth Quarter Goals.

My greatest accomplishment last qaurter was getting my work done and doing what I need to do in oreder to get good grades for the quarter. In order to accomplish my goals I had to stay focus and do all my work. I also had to go to school prepared and ready to learn. I actually had faith in myself this whole time and I know that I can do whatever it takes to get good grades and stay focus and do what I need to do to succeed in my dreams.

My goals for this quarter is to stay in school, turn in all my homework and be prepared evreyday. I will accomplish these goals by focusing on myself and getting good grades and being positive evreyday, because in order to be prepared you have to have a good positive attitude.

What I Learned in the Third Quarter of English 9/10

This quarter in Ms. Priester’s class I learned about allegory, poetry, imagery, figurative language, primary source and secondary source. In the beginning of the quarter I first learned about poetry and what it is used for. For example poetry is used in many ways and styles like rap, slow jams and country. After we learned about the session poetry we moved on to allegory. It is used mainly in figurative language that different categories fall in to like imagery, primary source and secondary source. I hope to learn more about poetry and figurative and other topics that are related to either one of those.

"I am Offering This Poem" by Jimmy Santiago Baca

The emotion that "I am offering this poem"by Jimmy Santiago Baca expresses is sweetness. For example this shows that Jimmy Santiago cares alot of people in his life and he does not care what anyone thinks about him. In addition, this shows that anybody should not worry about anything that anyone thinks about them they should only worry about waht they think about theirselves before anyone has their opinon on you.

CAHSEE Reflection Paragraph

Today I took the cahsee and I felt like I did a great job and to my ability. When I took the cahsee I though it would be nerve racking and that it was going to be difficult, but it turned out to be pretty easy. When I started to read the articles they started to be pretty interesting and fun to read. So as soon as I seen the questions about the article I began to reread the article and awnser the questions. I think I passed the cahsee and I will be graduating with my class of 2013 and so I feel really confident.

Where Have You Gone, Charming Billy paragraph

I would never enlist in the military for many reasons. My first reasoning is because I do not find the military interesting at all and I never found the military that amusing. My second reason is because I want to do bigger and better things in life like, cosmetology and daycare. My third reason is because the military is very dangerous and you can get hurt or injured really bad. Last but not least I would not want to be away form my family for a year or some months. If I were drafted I would offer somebody else the job and the opportunity because the military might be interesting and entertaining to someone else instead of myself.

Primary and Secondary Sources Comparison

Both primary and secondary sources give knowledge to the reader's and reliable information. The types of things that make primary sources different are that it only let's eyewitnesses provide information that they can provide. A few examples of primary sources are diaries and autobiography's. What makes secondary sources different are that the writer that writes an account that was not included in the event. A few examples of secondary sources are encyclopedia and biographies. Primary and secondary sources are helpful because it gives you many examples on the definitions and its like a thesauruses.

Feelings about the Cahsse

Since the cahsee is next week I feel very confident. I know that when I take the English part of the cahsee I will do good and I will know what to get prepared for. I thought that the cahsee would be difficult and I would think to myself that I am not going to pass the cahsee but I thought about it and I can't tell myself what I can't do when knowing that I can pass anything when I put my mind to it. I feel that by taking the cahsee as a sophomore I can learn alot and it will be interesting, and I can just get it over with instead of waiting.
